As I was buying my first property, the initial realtor I had was someone I knew and trusted, but I soon found out that it was not a good match as I am someone who does extensive research, have specific questions, and expects a prompt response, and it always took few or several days for the realtor to get back to me, and I could never get a clear answer to my questions. I then turned to my good friend Sandra who I had known for 10 years, and it was like night and day. She was always quick to respond, provided me with great information and advice for me to make a well informed decision, and most of all, I always felt she really wanted to find the right place for me. Her cheerfulness and positive attitude also helped me greatly throughout the process that could be little overwhelming at times. It took me 5 months in total to find the place I absolutely love, and during that time, Sandra was always on my side, even when I had a place I liked, she pointed out that the first floor apartment could be easily broken into, and was more concerned for my safety. It’s been 2.5 years since I bought my place, and I still contact Sandra for questions on property assessment, mortgage rates, whether I should sell or rent in the future, and she is always there to give me friendly and professional advice which I am always grateful for. And what’s really nice is I often go out with Sandra for a coffee, we hike, we run, and just simple talk about our lives, dogs, shoes, travelling...
